"Daily Walk for Water"

Access to fresh clean water is something most take for granted. That seemingly small luxury is a laborious daily task for others. This young woman had to climb down and across the river to access a small natural spring where she collects water for her family. While she makes it look easy, the jugs are extremely heavy and not to mention she has to cross back over the river to get home. Despite all of that, she was friendly, kind, and had a beautiful soul.
"Colorful Cooking"

These ladies were prepping for a large feast in honor of a new groom visiting the brides village for the first time (also known as my husband). The veggies and spices they use produce so many vibrant colors and smells. One of the things I love about Bangladesh is the colorful clothes that are worn for everyday life.
"Malumghat Bazar Naan"

This man was making fresh naan, a warm bread cooked in a clay fire oven. This gentleman was very sweet when asked to take his picture. A slight nod to the right along with a glimmer of a smile gave the go ahead. Even though the labels are not noticeable, anyone who has been to Bangladesh will recognise the classic Mango Juice boxes on the background shelf.
"Desert Dishes"

While on camel back along the Indian Thar Desert, water was not something easily found. So how do you clean your dishes without wasting precious water? By simply using gritty sand to rub them off. Our guides had prepared a meal over a fire the night before, and so the dishes were kept till morning to clean.
"Hanging Laundry"

While I was out walking down the village path, I saw this adorable calf perfectly framed by the drying laundry. It’s cute big ears and direct stare at the camera almost seems as if it is playing peek-a-boo. It is very normal to have your livestock live right next to your home. Sometimes the animals will wander during the day, but come home just in time to have a small handful of Gur (a sweet sugar).
